Graduated from a comparable professional education as that required for the U.S. educated OT who has a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy. (Note that effectice January 1,2007, candidates initially applying to take the certification examination must have successfully graduated from a post-baccalaureate accredited occupational therapy professional program recognized by NCBOT.)

At least 1,000 hours of fieldwork including a balance of experiences reflecting the breadth and depth of occupational therapy practice (supervised experience). Employer can host an exam if they find at least 30 candidates in the Philippines. They have contacts in the Licensing Board for OTs and they said that they are willing to have a special exam for our candidates although the exam is not normally given in the Philippines.
